COVID-19: Pankaja Munde writes to Rajesh Tope over shortage of Remdesivir & vaccine in Beed district

The situation is getting worse with the second wave of coronavirus in Maharashtra. Due to the lack of coronavirrus vaccine, vaccination programs were stalled in many places. Due to this whole situation, the opposition attacked the ruling Thackeray government. BJP leader Pankaja Munde has written a letter to Health Minister Rajesh Tope in which she targeted Minister Dhananjay Munde.

Pankaja Munde said in the letter that the number of coronavirus cases in Beed district is increasing day by day and the situation has become alarming. According to the health department, 729 corona positive patients have died in the district so far. The total number of cases is 34,989 out of which 30,478 have recovered and returned home.

On the one hand, the health system is working day and night to help the patients at full strength, while on the other hand, there is a huge shortage of Remdesivir for corona patients. Patients and their relatives are facing issues while buying the anti-viral drug as there is shortage of the medicine. Vaccination centers are also closed due to unavailability of covid-19 vaccine. This is all leading to increase in the number of patients, she said.

In a letter to Health Minister Rajesh Tope, Pankaja Munde demanded that adequate REMDESIVIR  and covid vaccine should be made available and the concerned authorities be informed to make such arrangements.

She further wrote, "There is a shortage of REMDESIVIR in Beed district, the Health Minister is requested to make it available to people and look in to this matter seriously. Out of the Rs 2 lakh received by the state government, Beed should get enough #vaccine. The authorities in Beed know the interests of the mafia and we are ready to fight for the interests of the people."
