COVID-19: Raj Thackeray calls Uddhav Thackeray, demands to postpone MPSC exams

The number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra continues to rise. As many as 56,286 new COVID cases and 376 deaths were reported in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours, the state health department informed on Thursday.

With this, the total positive cases now stands at 32,29,547, including 5,21,317 active cases, 26,49,757 recoveries and 57,028 deaths.

The large number of covid cases has put load on the state government and administration. The rising cases has led to uncertainty about the various courses and recruitment examinations that were scheduled to take place in the state.

Against this backdrop, MNS chief Raj Thackeray called Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to discuss the MPSC exam. MNS chief demanded Uddhav Thackeray to postpone the MPSC examination against the backdrop of increasing number of covid cases.

It is being said that Uddhav Thackeray has responded positively to this demand of Raj Thackeray. Now all eyes are on the decision of the Chief Minister regarding the MPSC examination. Meanwhile, along with Raj Thackeray, other leaders have also demanded postponement of MPSC exams. Minister in the state government Jitendra Awhad has demanded postponement of all examinations in April.
