COVID-19 Vaccination: CM Thackeray writes to PM Modi, demands covid vaccination for all above 25 years

Corona infection seems to be affecting a large number of young people and this age group also needs to be protected from the virus. Therefore, in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has requested that everyone under the age of 25 should be vaccinated against corona.

The Chief Minister has written this letter to the Prime Minister as the central government has the power to decide the age of vaccination. I had earlier demanded that people over the age of 45 be vaccinated and centre agreed. Now we request you to lower the vaccination age further, the letter said.

Vaccination of a large number of young people, especially those who work outside the home, will help reduce the number of patients.Maharashtra has always provided information on corona in a very transparent manner. We have put in place some stringent restrictions through the ‘Break the Chain’ campaign to prevent the virus, which is more harmful than last year. However, it has been decided that essential commodities and services, manufacturing sector, transportation services will continue and everyone will follow the covid rules.
Vaccination drive in state is being carried out in full force, Thackeray said in the letter.

‘Life first, then livelihood’

We are ready to vaccinate everyone under the age of 45 in just three weeks for the 6 most infected districts like Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur. For which the state needs at least one and a half crore vaccine doses. The Chief Minister said that with the help of the Central Government and the efforts of the State Governments, it would be possible to overcome the second wave of coronavirus.
