Kidney donation makes physical health fragile. But Dr Jayashree Desai accepted her medical job and was able to serve patients during the first wave of Coronavirus. She worked in hotspots where 1790 corona patients were found throughout the year. Dr Jayashree Desai of Karad Malkapur Primary Health Center has set an example for all the doctors in the country.

Prashant Desai and Jayashree Desai are both doctors by profession. Dr. Prashant Desai is working as a Medical Officer in a Government Hospital at Wai, and Dr. Jayashree Desai worked in a Private Specialty Hospital for a few years after completing her medical education.

In the meantime, she was at home after donating one of her kidneys to her sister. However, in the first wave of covid in April 2020, she wanted to use her medical knowledge for the general public. Dr. Prashant Desai, seeing Jayashree's strong will, consented to it.

TV 9 has given the news in this regard. During the Corona period, Jayashree had to face many family problems. She has a seven-year-old daughter whom she had to keep at home during the statewide lockdown. There was no one to take care of her. Her husband Dr. Prashant Desai's was working at Wai, her eldest son was in a residential school hostel. It was not possible to take the girl to work, nor was it possible to keep her with the neighbors. So Desai installed CCTV cameras in the house.

Jayashree Desai kept the girl in the house and locked her from outside and continued to serve the patients uninterruptedly. Both the husband and wife were working on the girl who was alone in the house by accessing the CCTV in the house.

Dr. Jayashree still continues to work for health awareness in Malkapur city. In recognition of her work in the first Corona Wave, she has been hailed by dignitaries as a Covid warrior.

During this period, Dr. Jayashree was strongly supported by her husband Prashant Desai. Despite working in such adverse conditions, Dr. Jayashree Desai is satisfied. She humbly acknowledges that she has been able to work successfully in the Corona hotspot with the guidance and cooperation of her superiors.
