While the number of Corona cases in the country is increasing day by day, it ha put a huge strain on the health system. On the other hand opposition party is leaving no chance in criticizing the Mahavikas Aghadi party. Maharashtra is one of the worst hit states at the moment and a blame-game is on between the state government, led by Uddhav Thackeray, and the Centre over the handling of the crisis.

Yesterday, while criticizing Opposition Leader Devendra Fadnavis, Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad had said, "If I had found the coronavirus, I would put it in Fadnavis’s mouth."

Leader of the opposition in the assembly Devendra Fadnavis on Monday reacted to Gaikwad's remark. Responding to Sanjay Gaikwad's statement Fadnavis said, "Sanjay Gaikwad must have been drunk when he held the press conference. However, I urge him to wear handgloves and a face mask before putting coronavirus in my mouth. Because I have the blessings of people so nothing will happen to me".

Hitting out at the former Maharashtra chief minister for allegedly indulging in politics over the coronavirus crisis, Buldhana MLA Sanjay Gaikwad said he was upset with the senior BJP leader so much that he could even put the dreaded virus into his mouth.

Maharashtra on Saturday reported 67,123 fresh coronavirus cases, its highest single-day increase so far, taking the tally to 37,70,707, the state health department said. Besides, 419 deaths due to the pandemic were reported in the state, which pushed the death toll to 59,970.
