Ganeshotsav 2021: 800 buses from Thane ST department to Konkan; booking starts from today

Last year, due to the coronavirus, people from Konkan could not go to their for the Gauri Ganpati festival. However, this year, 800 buses have been planned by the Thane ST department for the devotees going to Konkan for Ganesh festival. Accordingly, the extra transport period will be from 6th to 10th September 2021 and the return period will be from 14th to 16th September. Accordingly, devotees who want to go to the village are requested to book their reservation from July 15.

The State Transport has been badly impacted due to covid-19 pandemic. In the first and second wave of covid, ST had to face huge losses. Even today, only 51% of the ST department's buses are on the roads. However, as the number of coronavirus cases is showing declining trend, ST has also planned 800 buses for Ganesh devotees going to Konkan.

According to the Thane ST department, advance computer reservation has also been made for Ganesh devotees going to Konkan like every year. Accordingly, buses will leave from Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Guhagar, Sakharpa, Devgad, Kankavali, Sawantwadi, Sindhudurg from Borivali, Bhayander, Thane, Mulund, Bhandup, Kalyan, Dombivali, Vitthalwadi.
