Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut who has been at loggerheads with the Maharashtra government for over an year now has once again taken jibe at the curbs and restrictions imposed in the state to curb covid spread. On Friday morning she posted a meme hinting at the ineffectiveness of the lockdown-like rules, by posting a meme that had a door to a shack with no walls.
Earlier this week, she had hit out at the state government amid speculations that yet another imminent lockdown in Maharashtra. “Can anyone tell me if Maharashtra has a lockdown? Semi lockdown ? Fluid or fake lockdown? What is going on here? No one seems to be wanting to make decisive decisions. “The city seems like a skeleton of its earlier self, I wonder those who love to terrorise are also terrified today? Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut you feel this eerie day? I am curious…. and amused as well ….. Jai Mumba Devi,” Kangana had tweeted on Sunday.
Maharashtra has logged the highest number of cases in the country since the start of the pandemic, has recorded the biggest surge in daily cases over the last few days. The state has imposed a curfew for now. Talking about Kangana's upcoming movie Thalaivi was slated to hit the screens on April 23, but had to be postponed due to the pandemic situation.
