Locust Attack: After Vidarbha locusts swarms enters Mumbai

Swarms of the desert locust, which invaded India via via Yemen, Iran and Pakistan, have made their way to at least five states, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. In Amravati, Nagpur, Wardha, farmers were affected to some extent by locusts. The biggest locust crisis in the last 27 years was witnessed in the state.

Large groups locusts were seen in the Vikhroli area of ​​Mumbai. They were also spotted in Tardeo and Worli area of South Mumbai. ISome were also seen in Goregaon area as well. Earlier, locusts damaged crops in Amravati, Wardha and Nagpur in Vidarbha. Locust move in large groups, called swarms, reached in Katol of Nagpur, Morshi of Amravati, Warud. These swarms covered a distance of 120 km in three days and entered Vidarbha.
