The state government is considering a proposal to upgrade 419 government industrial training institutes in the state in collaboration with Tata Technology and associate entrepreneurs and to set up six high-end centers and three agricultural 'centers of excellence'. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar with a view to increase employment and develop skilled manpower in the state. The meeting was attended by NCP's chief and MP Sharad Pawar.
