The Maharashtra government has extended the lockdown till July 31. The state orders clearly prohibited inter-district movement of people as well as long-distance travelling without any emergency.

One can travel in their own vehicle only after getting permission from the police administration through e-pass. Therefore, it is becoming a big problem for the citizens to travel outside the district. The police issues e-pass for essential and important work. However, the status of e-pass often appears under review for eight days.

This is causing great inconvenience to the citizens. One such citizen who was facing problem with e-pass approval recently appealed to the Home Minister to get permission to travel for his sister's wedding. Anil Deshmukh was quick to reply to his problem and gave him permission to travel and told him to follow all the precautions.

Sarthak Prashant Bora tweeted,"My sister's wedding is on July 2 and my e-pass has not been approved yet. The status of e-pass has been under review for the last two days.Sir, please help me".

Taking note of Sarthak Bora's tweet, the Home Minister retweeted the tweet and directed the Ahmednagar police to look into the matter. The minister said that his e-pass will now be approved and further said, we hope that your family will carry out the wedding function by following the instructions of the government. Home Minister Anil Deshmukh also extended wishes to his family for his sister's marriage.
