Maharashtra Deputy CM recovers from Covid, discharged from hospital

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who was afflicted by Covid-19, has been cured and will be discharged on Monday from hospital, a party official said.

NCP senior leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was undergoing treatment at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after he contracted corona. He said he was in good health while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Ajit Pawar was battling covid-19 for the past 8 days. The minister was discharged from the hospital today. However, he will remain in isolation for the next few days. 

On Oct 26 Pawar said that he had tested coronavirus positive and got himself admitted to a private city hospital.

Making an announcement on the social media, Nationalist Congress Party senior leader Pawar, 61, had said he was asymptomatic but as advised by his doctors got himself admitted to Breach Candy Hospital as a precautionary measure.

"My health is perfect. After a bit of rest I shall be in your midst soon," Pawar had said in a message, four days after he had gone into isolation after feeling feverish.
