Maharashtra government to give 80% oxygen cylinders to hospitals & 20% to industries


The World Health Organization has warned that in the coming days coronavirus cases are going to rise. Keeping in mind the warning of the WHO, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has decided to give 80 percent oxygen cylinders to hospitals and 20 percent to industries. 

Further the CM said that the number of laboratories initially were only few to test for infection, but now their number has increased to 550. Thackeray said this during the inauguration of a laboratory and six Kovid care centers in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. 

"In view of the World Health Organization 's warning of increasing cases of covid-19 in the coming days, the state government has decided to give 80 percent oxygen cylinders to hospitals and 20 percent to industries ," an official release issued by them said . 

He also said that the state government is setting up a large number of health centers to deal with the global epidemic. Thackeray also appealed to the people to strictly follow the precautionary rules like putting on masks, creating social distance, washing hands.
