Maharashtra Gram Panchayat Election Results: Son's idea to set up father's panel against mother fails in Aurangabad

Maharashtra's gram panchayat elections, vote counting is currently underway. Voting for the 12,711 gram panchayats in 34 districts across the state took place on Friday on January 15.

The counting of votes in the Gram Panchayat elections is underway and so far BJP has won 678, Shiv Sena 714, NCP 578, Congress 520 and MNS has won 14 Gram Panchayats. Independents have also taken over 858 gram panchayats.

Maharashtra's ruling Shiv Sena is ahead of the BJP in the gram panchayat elections, counting of which is currently on.

However, everyone's eyes were on the results of Aurangabad Gram Panchayat election as a son had formed his father's panel against mother. Aditya, son of former Kannada MLA Harshvardhan Jadhav, had set up a panel against his mother. Aditya challenged Harshvardhan's panel against his own mother Sanjana Jadhav. Sanjana is the daughter of Union Minister Raosaheb Danve. The third generation of Raibhan Jadhav became active in the Gram Panchayat election campaign. After the arrest of Harshvardhan Jadhav, Aditya took over all his political work. However, Jadhav's panel did not get much success in this election. Even his mother Sanjana could not shine much.

Harshvardhan Jadhav and Sanjana Jadhav Pati lost the Pishore Gram Panchayat elections. Harshvardhan Jadhav won 4 out of 17 seats. Sanjana Jadhav got only 2 seats. In this election, Mahavikas Aghadi won 9 seats. Independent candidates won two seats.
