Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde tests COVID-19 positive

Maharashtra minister for Urban Development Eknath Shinde took to Twitter on Thursday to inform that he has tested coronavirus positive.

The Shiv Sena MLA from Kopri-Pachpakhadi constituency of Thane asked people who had come in contact with him over the past few days to get themselves checked for the infection.

काल मी माझी कोव्हीड-१९ ची तपासणी करून घेतली असता ती पॉझिटिव्ह आली आहे. आपल्या सगळ्यांच्या आशीर्वादाने प्रकृती ठीक आहे. गेल्या काही दिवसांत माझ्या संपर्कात आलेल्या सर्वांनी योग्य ती काळजी घ्यावी आणि स्वतःची कोव्हीड चाचणी करून आवश्यक ती खबरदारी घ्यावी, ही विनंती...

"During the course of my check-up yesterday, I have tested positive for the coronavirus. I am at present doing well with the blessings and good wishes of all. I request everyone who has come in my contact to be careful and follow protocol," he tweeted. 

On Monday, he visited the site of the Bhiwandi building collapse and took stock of the situation from ground zero.
