Maharashtra traders allowed to keep shops open from Monday

Responding to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's assurance, the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce has decided to start shops from Monday, Lalit Gandhi told media.

An online meeting was held with Uddhav Thackeray to change the decision of Break the Chain and the government is positive.

He has asked for 2 days time and as per his assurance, the decision to start the shop on 9th has been postponed.

The Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MCICA) on Thursday convened an online meeting of trade union office bearers and trade members in the state under the chairmanship of Santosh Mandlecha to discuss the 'break the chain' and 'trade closure'.

The meeting unanimously approved a resolution to resume trade across the state from Monday, said Maharashtra Chamber President Santosh Mandlecha and Senior Vice President Lalit Gandhi.

The last few days we have been in touch with the office bearers of all the trade associations. We are also in touch with the government. Gandhi also mentioned that they presented all traders role to the Chief Minister.
