Mansukh Hiren death case transferred to NIA: Here's what Maha HM has to say

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Monday reacted over Mansukh Hiren death case being transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Deshmukh said, "It is the right of NIA to take this case but Maharashtra Police ATS was probing it well. But the Mansukh Hiren case and theft of the car will be probed by ATS alone."

He further said that,"ATS was probing the case where gelatin-laded car was found out Mukesh Ambani's residence but NIA took over. Earlier Mumbai Police was probing Sushant Singh Rajput case when it was taken over by CBI. Surprising that they still can't say if it was murder or suicide."

Mansukh Hiren, owner of the Scorpio car parked with explosives outside the Ambani's home was found dead in Thane last week.

In his statement to the Mumbai Police, Mansukh Hiren had claimed that his car had not been in use for over a year and that he recently drove the vehicle because he wanted to sell it. Hiren had said to police officials that his car broke down and he decided to park it on the Mulund-Airoli Link Road on February 16. When he returned to the spot the next day, the vehicle had been stolen.

According to the police, Mansukh Hiren had even filed a complaint about his stolen Scorpio with the Vikhroli police.Explosive materials were found in a vehicle outside group chairman Mukesh Ambanis residence on February 25. Some amount of Gelatin and letter was also found in the vehicle.
