On Thursday, MNS chief Raj Thackeray met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on the issue of rising electricity bills. During the visit, Raj Thackeray had demanded that the government should immediately provide relief to the people regarding the increased electricity bill. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari reportedly adviced MNS chief Raj Thackeray to meet NCP chief Sharad Pawar regarding this matter. After that, it has come to light that Raj Thackeray and Sharad Pawar had a discussion on the phone today.

According to Marathi news channels, Sharad Pawar said that he got a call from Raj Thackeray and they discussed about Raj and Governor's meeting.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Wednesday met Koshyari regarding the increased electricity bill.

MNS official twitter account posted, "The party has requested the Governor to direct the state government to take a decision over the increased electricity bill and farmers' reasonable demand for a fair price for milk"

"My delegation had met Adani and the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) officials, so I met the Governor today regarding the increased electricity bill. Companies are ready to reduce the electricity bill. The Governor will soon convey this to the Chief Minister and take a decision in a day or two," Mr Thackeray said while speaking to the media.
