The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Sachin Vaze, a former assistant police inspector, in connection with the case involving an abandoned SUV found near the home of industrialist Mukesh Ambani was on Sunday sent to the agency's custody till March 25.

The NIA has also identified the drivers of both the Scorpio and Innova involved in the conspiracy. The NIA will soon arrest and interrogate the two drivers.

On the other hand, sources said that Sachin Waze had named a senior Mumbai police officer during the NIA probe. So now more shocking information in this case is likely to come to light.

A Scorpio car packed with explosives was parked outside Ambani's Antilia bungalow. An Innova car which was seized by NIA was was seen tailing the explosive-laden Scorpio parked near Antilia on the day of the incident.

The number plates of these vehicles were bogus and fake number plates were also found in these vehicles. Meanwhile the shop of bogus number plates used in this case has been discovered.

"The NIA is probing if Sachin Waze was present on the spot near Antilia where the Scorpio was abandoned. His alibi and CCTV footage is being investigated," sources said.

The NIA has traced the shop owner who made these bogus number plates. The plates were made in a shop in Thane. Some of these numbers were authentic and some were fake. Some of the number plates also belonged to Ambani's convoy. Nia is soon going to arrest the shop owner.
