Mumbai: Four vehicle collide on Sion-Panvel highway, one injured

A woman suffered minor injuries after four vehicles piled up on the Sion-Panvel highway near Kharghar on Saturday. The accident caused traffic jam on the highway for some time.

The tyre of vehicle MH.06, V1096 had suddenly burst and when the driver applied the brakes, the oncoming vehicles collided with each other. The accident caused major damage to four vehicles. Fortunately, no one was killed in the accident, but one woman sustained minor injuries. The accident caused a major traffic jam on the highway for about half an hour. Anand Chavan, senior police inspector, Kharghar traffic branch, and traffic personnel pulled over the vehicles and the traffic was restored.
