On Wednesday, Dharavi reported only two new cases of coronavirus taking the tally to 2,545, the city civic body said.

A senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said two fresh infections took the tally to 2,545, but Dharavi has only 83 active COVID-19 cases.

As many as 2,462 patients have already recovered and discharged from COVID-19 facilities, he said.

The civic body has, however, stopped disclosing COVID-19 deaths.

World Health Organization (WHO) praised the efficient COVID-19 management in Mumbai's Dharavi, one of the largest slums in the world. However the local medical practitioners and the administration have said that results have been achieved due to work done in collaboration by various organizations.
