Munde sisters unhappy over non-inclusion in Modi cabinet?

There are discussions in the political circles that BJP’s two-time MP Pritam Munde into the Union Cabinet has left her and her elder sister Pankaja Munde angry. However, Pankaja Munde dismissed the reports at a press conference.

I am not upset at all, congratulations to all who have become ministers. I am not against the decision taken by the party leadership. Pankaja Munde has given an explanation that she agrees with the decision of the party.

Regarding this, Pankaja Munde said that she congratulated all the new ministers at the Center. I got many calls, messages. There was a speculation that Pritam Munde would get a cabinet berth. However, she failed to find any place in it. Even Hina Gavit's name was also discussed. But we are Gopinath Munde's daughters, he taught us well. We are not offended at all. It is our job to greet those who have the opportunity.

Also, after taking the oath of office, I got a call from Kapil Patil and Bharti Pawar. I wished them well. I also got a call from Bhagwat Karad and spoke to him. I have a relationship with people. So Pankaja Munde is not angry or upset. There is no reason for my displeasure. I have no objection. Pankaja Munde said that the decision of the party is unanimous.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday carried out a major revamp of his cabinet. While 12 ministers resigned from the cabinet, a total of 43 new ministers were sworn-in. Four leaders from Maharashtra were inducted into the cabinet.

The daughter of BJP leader late Gopinath Munde, Pritam Munde, is BJP’s Lok Sabha member from Beed constituency. Her elder sister Pankaja, who was a minister during the Fadnavis-led state government, had lost the 2019 Assembly polls from Parali seat, her home turf.
