Nashik: Two big BJP leaders set to join Shiv Sena

Two BJP leaders from Nashik are all set to quit the party and join Shiv Sena after meeting the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at his residence 'Varsha' in Mumbai.

Former MLA Balasaheb Sanap, who joined the Shiv Sena, has recently returned home to the BJP in the presence of Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis. There are discussions going on in Nashik that BJP office bearers who were annoyed with Sanap's entry would join Shiv Sena. The two leaders met Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at Varsha Bungalow, where former Shiv Sena mayor Vinayak Pandey and Yuvasena's Varun Sardesai were also present, the Mumbai Mirror reported.

According to reports, top BJP leaders, former MLA Vasant Gite and Sunil Bagul, will join Shiv Sena. However BJP's Nashik unit president Girish Palve has denied the reports and said they will regain power in the upcoming Nashik municipal elections under the guidance of Balasaheb Sanap, Gite and Bagul.
