New Twist in Munde case: BJP leader claims Renu Sharma is blackmailing him since 2010

The state's social justice minister Dhananjay Munde has been accused of rape. The whole matter has now taken a totally different turn. BJP leader and former MLA Krishna Hegde has alleged that Renu Sharma, woman who accused Munde, had also tried to honey trap, blackmail and extort money from him. Hegde has written a detailed letter to the Mumbai Police regarding this.

In a letter to the police, Krishna Hegde has made a sensational claim that Renu Sharma also tried to honeytrap him to have a relationship with her. Renu Sharma has been calling and texting Hegde since 2010. He has further claimed that the woman also stalked him and the harassment continued till 2015 but he refused to meet her. Hegde said he clearly told her he does not have any interest in any kind of relationship with her.

"Through my sources, I found out that she is a dubious person who is setting up a honey trap. I totally avoided meeting her," Hegde told the police. I came to know that Renu Sharma had cheated other people in this way. Mumbai Police should conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter, Krishna Hegde said in the letter.

Hegde said he wrote the letter after he came to know of the allegations made against Dhananjay Munde. "Today, they have targetted him, a couple of years ago it could have been Me and tomorrow it will be someone else," he added.

Dhananjay Munde, who has been in the news since past three days after a Renu Sharma brought up rape charges against him. Munde’s defence on social media that it was a blackmailing attempt by the victim, who is the sister of his currently estranged second wife, invited more troubles for him.
