"No other state can provide facilities that Mumbai has": Anil Deshmukh rejects Yogi Adityanath’s idea for a film city in UP

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath may be going vocal as a part of his process to set up a new film city in his state. However,  Maharashtra Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh said, “Over 100 years ago film industry was established here. I don’t think any other state could've provided facilities that Mumbai has. We've better law & order. I'm confident the film Industry can't go elsewhere. Let him (UP CM) make efforts. Previously, the senior leader of Shiv Sena, Sanjay Raut had questioned the UP CM’s planning and shared, “Not easy to shift Mumbai's film city to another place.

The film industry in south India is also big, there're film cities in WB & Punjab too. Will Yogi Ji also visit these places & talk to directors/artists there or is he going to do so only in Mumbai?” Recently, Akshay Kumar had met CM Yogi Adityanath during his Mumbai visit to discuss his upcoming film ‘Ram Setu’, which he had announced on Diwali. Apart from this, actress Kangana Ranaut has also extended her support to the UP CM through her tweet.  Yogi Adityanath is all set to meet several Bollywood celebrities as a part of his process to set up a new film city in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, he is expected to meet various industrialists and Bollywood personalities over his two-day visit, including N Chandrasekaran of Tata Sons, Niranjan Hiranandani, Subhash Ghai, Boney Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar and Randeep Hooda.
