Many Pankaja Munde supporters were upset that MP Pritam Munde did not get a seat in the Union Cabinet expansion. It was also reported that many office bearers resigned on this background. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pankaja Munde on Tuesday interacted with her disgruntled supporters and reassured them. "I work at the national level. My leaders are Narendra Modi, Amit Shah & JP Nadda. I spoke to my workers today because many of our people had offered resignations as they were of the belief that we get a berth in the recent cabinet expansion."

Explaining to the supporters this time, Pankaja said, "I reject everyone's resignation. Did I ask you to resign? No. I don't want people to sacrifice for me. I don't want to get into this 'dharm yuddh'. I am happy that a person (Bhagwat Karad) from my community was given a ministerial berth."

Munde sahab(Gopinath Munde)always gave higher posts to people from society's lower sections. He didn't bring Pritam & me into politics to become ministers. When he passed away, Maharashtra BJP offered me minister post but I refused. Pritam & I have no desire for it, she added.

There wer discussions in the political circles that BJP’s two-time MP Pritam Munde into the Union Cabinet has left her and her elder sister Pankaja Munde angry.

The daughter of BJP leader late Gopinath Munde, Pritam Munde, is BJP’s Lok Sabha member from Beed constituency. Her elder sister Pankaja, who was a minister during the Fadnavis-led state government, had lost the 2019 Assembly polls from Parali seat, her home turf.
