On November 12, many political party leaders filed for the nomination process for graduate constituency elections at Pune’s Council Hall. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) candidate Rupali Patil was also one of theose who filed the nomination.
Recently, a young man from Satara district called MNS candidate Rupali Patil and gave her a death threat. Patil has demanded the Pune police should investigate the matter and arrest the person who threatened her.
The process of selecting candidates from graduate and teacher constituencies has been started across the state. All political parties have declared their candidates. The campaigning for the elections of the candidates has already begun. Candidates from different parties are going to different districts to meet the graduates and campaign.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's women president Rupali Patil is contesting the Pune graduate constituency. She had recently visited Satara district.
