Pune weekend lockdown cancelled, essential services will continue from 7 to 11 am

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken a decision to allow essential shops to remain open on weekends also. At present they are allowed to open from 7 am to 11 am on weekdays only. Now, they will be allowed to open on Saturday and Sunday also.

Weekend lockdown in Pune district has finally been canceled. Health Minister Rajesh Tope has given this information regarding this. A Corona review meeting was held in Pune today in the presence of Tope. The decision has since been announced. Meanwhile, despite opposition from the municipal corporation, Tope has suggested increasing institutional quarantine. However, he also said that this should include only those who cannot afford home isolation.

“As I remember, there was a corona review meeting in Pune. Since Ajit Pawar was in the second meeting, he had called me for this meeting. As there are most cases in Satara, the meeting is going there. ” That's what Tope said.

When asked about Pune, he said, “The number of covid cases decreasing in Pune. But positivity rate is not decreasing. Fifteen day extension to lockdown. Rules for the same will be announced on the 1st June. The mayor of Pune has made some suggestions. Let's think about it. However, as per the suggestion of the leaders, the lockdown on essential services was canceled on Saturday and Sunday. Essential services are allowed to continue. They will continue from 7 to 11 ”

At this time, tracking and tracing should be done in a scientific way in Maharashtra. Do not lower positivity rate by lowering the tracking rate.

“Pune had 80% patients home isolation. They have now come down to 56%. Suggestions for further reduction. Institutional quarantine should be increased. Rural people should be brought in the covid care center of the taluka.
