Pune's COVID-19 recovery rate improving, touches 80.48 per cent

The COVID-19 recovery rate of Pune has improved to 80.48 per cent as on Friday, said civic officials.

Pune which has recently emerged as worse hit city by the coronavirus in Maharashtra.

The city has been reporting highest number of cases as compared to Mumbai. 

The authorities also imposed a lockdown to contain the spread but there has been no decline in the numbers reported. 

However the increased recovery rate has brought some relief for the officials.

As per a report in The Indian Express, the recovery rate there has gone up to 80.48 per cent. Mumbai, which is one of the worst-hit cities in the state, has a recovery rate of 81.32

On Thursday, the city reported 1,773 new cases of COVID-19 patients.

1,860 people were cured and discharged from the hospitals. Maharashtra, remains to be the worst-hit state in the couuntry. Both Pune and Mumbai largely contribute to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
