Rape allegations against me are false, plan to defame me, reveals Dhananjay Munde

An upcoming playback singer Renu Sharma has levelled some serious allegations against NCP leader and a minister in Uddhav Thackeray’s cabinet Dhananjay Panditrao Munde and the Maharashtra police. Renu has taken to the microblogging site to share a copy of complaint she has filed against the minister, accusing him of rape and blackmail. 

However the NCP leader has denied all the allegations. The minister has denied the rape claims and has written a long facebook post explaining the whole matter.

Here's what Dhananjay Munde wrote on his official Facebook account:
Some documents about me have been circulating on social media since yesterday and I have been accused of rape through media and social media. In this case, a woman named Renu Sharma (Renu Sharma is Karuna Sharma's younger sister) has tweeted from her own account. The documents show that a complaints has been lodged against me. All these allegations are falsely defaming me and blackmailing me and the whole fact of the matter is as follows: 

I have been in a consensual relationship with a woman named Karuna Sharma since 2003. My family, wife and friends were aware about this. As a result of this relationship, we have two children, a boy and a girl. I have given my name to these two children. In all the documents including the school certificate, my name is wriiten as the parent of these children, they live with me. My family, wife and my children have also accepted and both these children as family members.

As Karuna Sharma is the mother of my children, I have accepted the responsibility of her upbringing.

I have helped her to get a flat in Mumbai, I have helped her to get an insurance policy and his brother to set up a business. All these actions I have done in good faith.

But from 2019, Karuna Sharma and her sister Renu Sharma have started blackmailing me and demanding money. I have also received death threats. His brother Brijesh Sharma was also involved in this. I have also lodged a complaint with the police on November 12, 2020 regarding all these matters which have been happening since May 019. In November 2020, Mrs. Karuna Sharma published very personal and private material related to me on social media with the intention of defaming me and blackmailing me. Therefore, I have filed a petition in the High Court against Mrs. Karuna Sharma to seek justice in this case.

In the petition, the High Court has passed an order restraining the publication of such material against Mrs. Karuna Sharma. The petition is pending before the High Court for further hearing. At the same time, the process of reconciliation is underway through the lawyers of both the parties.

We have personally gone to the High Court against Mrs. Karuna Sharma in this regard and since all these matters are under consideration of the High Court, it would not be appropriate for me to comment further.

I also urge the media in this regard to avoid further comment as it will affect the judicial process in this case.

All these allegations are false, and part of the plan of Mrs. Karuna Sharma, her sister Renu Sharma and her brother Brijesh Sharma to blackmail me and collect ransom from me.

I have SMS proof that Mrs. Renu Sharma has blackmailed and asked crores of rupees from me. It may also be part of the pressure mechanism to settle the case at the behest of Mrs. Karuna Sharma in the petition I have filed in the High Court. I am sure that all these cases will be properly investigated by the concerned authorities. However, I request you to take into account the above facts while publishing the news in this case as the case against Mrs. Karuna Sharma is pending.

Also involved in this case are 2 innocent children. This whole case has been framed with the intention of blackmailing, lying and defaming, so it is a request not to believe such allegations.
