Remdesivir shortage: NCP worker shares number of BJP leader in Pimpri Chinchwad

The number of covid cases in Maharashtra has been increasing rapidly since last month. The number of patients have increased so rapidly that the state has been facing shortage of Remdisivir injection used in the treatment of corona patients.

The shortage of the medicine has heated the political atmosphere in the state. A large stock of Remdisvir was found at the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Gujarat. The NCP accused the BJP of hoarding Remdisivir.

After this, the NCP worker has shared number of BJP leader on social media, appealing people to contact him for Remdisivir medicine. A party worker belonging to NCP Youth Congress has shared mobile number on the Facebook page for Pimpri Chinchwad city. The activist has appealed to contact immediately if you want Remdisivir medicine. The mobile number shared by the NCP worker belongs to Pimpri Chinchwad BJP corporator Namdev Dhake.

In the last two days, many have called Dhake after a NCP activist posted his number on Facebook post. Namdev Dhake is the House Leader of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Dhake has lodged a complaint with the police in this regard. If a formal complaint is lodged, action will be taken in the matter, Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissioner of Police had said before Dhake lodged the complaint.

‘Two days ago I started getting phone calls for Remdesivir medicine. Relatives of the Corona patients were contacting me. After trying to dig deeper into the matter, I came to know that my number was posted on Facebook by NCP Youth Congress worker. This was done on purpose to harass me, 'said Dhake.

The NCP activist has accepted that he posted Dhake's number on Facebook. He has accepted responsibility for the whole affair. Dhake had claimed that he had 1,100 doses of Remdesivir with him, said Vishal Wakadkar, city president of NCP Youth Wing. I learned that a corona patient had died without receiving a Remdesivir injection.

So to alleviate the suffering of the people, I shared Dhake's number on Facebook so that they can get Remdesivir injection. Dhaka is the leader of the House. Therefore, it is his responsibility, said Wakadkar.
