Why are actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar silent on petrol-diesel price hikes now?  During the UPA regime in 2012, Akshay Kumar had raised his voice about the soaring fuel prices. On 27 February 2012, the actor had tweeted, "Guys, I think it's time to clean up your bicycles and hit the road! As per sources, expecting another petrol price hike." But here's the things - almost 9 years later, not only does the actor not care to tweet about the soaring fuel prices, he also received massive flak for deleting this tweet.

Amitabh Bachchan had also in 2012, spoken about the fuel price hike and shared a joke about the same on Twitter. Congress state president Nana Patole has given a direct warning that he will not allow Big B and Akshay to shoot in Maharashtra.

Referring to old tweets by actors Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar about petrol and diesel price hikes, Nana Patole slammed both the actors. "Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar who tweeted about petrol price hike during the Congress rule, now don't have anything to say? At that time, when the price of petrol was Rs 60, these celebrities voicing their opinions. But why are they silent now ? Are they silent because Modi government at the centre?," qyuestioned Nana Patole.

He said silence of Amitabh and Akshay is not appropriate when the general public of Maharashtra is being exploited by the Centre due to increase in petrol and diesel prices.

They have no right to shoot in Maharashtra. Nana Patole has given a direct warning that he will make arrangements to stop their shooting wherever it's happenig.
