"You should be ashamed of yourself": Kangana slams Uddhav Thackeray for his Dussehra speech

Kangana Ranaut has attacked Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for his Dussehra speech in a series of tweets. Yesterday, Uddhav took a veiled attack on Kangana Ranaut who, he said, has slandered Mumbai, its police and all "sons of Maharashtra". Uddhav Thackeray said, "They don't know in our house we grow tulsi, not ganja. Ganja fields are in your state, you know where not in our Maharashtra. "Responding to Uddhav Thackeray's "Ganja fields in your state" jibe, Kangana Ranaut, in a series of tweets, said Himachal is called a "Dev Bhumi" as it has a maximum number of temples. Calling Uddhav Thackeray a "petty person", Kangana Ranaut further said Himachal Pradesh has zero crime rate.

"Chief Minister you are a very petty person, Himachal is called Dev Bhumi it has the maximum number of temples also no zero crime rate, yes it has a very fertile land it grows apples, kiwis, pomegranate, strawberries one can grow anything here," Kangana Ranaut said.In another tweet, Kangana Ranaut said, "You being a leader having such a vengeful, myopic and ill informed views about a state which has has been the abode of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati along with many great saints like Markandya and Manu Rishi, Pandavas spent large part of their exile in Himachal Pardesh""You should be ashamed of yourself chief minister, being a public servant you are indulging in petty fights, using your power to insult, damage and humiliate people who don't agree with you, you don't deserve the chair you have acquired by playing dirty politics. SHAME," she said.

Continuing further the Panga actress wrote, "I am overwhelmed at this open bullying by a working CM so there is a typo in first tweet, it should be no crime in Himachal, yes clarifying again we don't have poor or very rich people or any crimes in Himachal, it's a spiritual place with very innocent and kind people.""Look at the audacity of a working CM he is dividing the country who has made him Maharashtra ka thekedaar? He is just a public servant there was someone else before him soon he will be out someone else will come to serve the state, why is he behaving like he owns Maharashtra? "In the final tweet, Kangana Ranaut said, "Just how beauty of Himalayas belongs to every Indian, opportunities that Mumbai offers too belongs to each one of us, both are my homes, Uddhav Thackeray don't you dare to snatch our democratic rights and divide us, your filthy speeches are a vulgar display of your incompetence."

Uddhav Thackeray, in his Dussehra speech on Sunday, also mentioned the controversy surrounding actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. "Today, we burn symbolic Ravan with ten faces. One Ravan face says Mumbai is PoK," he said in response to allegations levelled against the Mumbai police and state government by actor Kangana Ranaut. Responding to actor Kangana Ranaut's claims, CM Thackeray said, "As I am chief of Sena, I am also of Mumbai police. This is the same police who have sacrificed their life saving you. How can you even say this? Comparing Mumbai with POK is insulting PM Narendra Modi. If there is a PoK in India, isn't it a failure of Modi then?"  Ranaut had kicked up a controversy after she compared Mumbai with PoK in September. Ranaut’s comment was in response to a remark by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, asking her not to come back to the city after she claimed she felt unsafe here. She had also made objectionable comments against the Mumbai Police. After Rajput’s death on June 14, Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-led coalition government was criticised by the Bharatiya Janata Party as well and Ranaut over the handling of the case by Mumbai Police.
