After murder, accused visited the hospital

Criminals, who killed their neighbour due to an old enmity over pigeon betting on Sunday night, had visited the hospital with an intention to attack again. They also threatened the family members of the deceased Ashok Naharkar. This indicates that the criminals have no fear of Ambazari police. This may be the first incident where accused reached the hospital to avenge.

It may be mentioned here that on September 4 night, Ashok Naharkar was murdered by his neighbour accused Munna Mahto, his two sons Ramu alias Chunni Mahto and Chetan Mahto by storming into deceased house in Pandhrabodi locality. Mahto family is criminal in nature. Chetan had started pigeon buying, selling and betting business with Ashok about six months ago. They had some dispute over money. Later, they became rivals. Just one day ago, Ramu Mahto was called by Ambazari police for questioning. After that, he wanted to teach lesson to Naharkar family. Once upon a time Naharkar family dominated the area. The accused decided to end the supremacy. After attacking Ashok, the accused fled from the spot. Family members of Ashok took him to a private hospital on Amravati road on a bike. Then the accused came to know that Ashok is alive and he could take revenge. So they reached hospital with weapon but they did not enter the hospital. They escaped from there after threatening Ashok’s family member. Despite confirming this during questioning, police are also silent over the issue.

According to sources, the WhatsApp group is also the second major reason for the feud between Mahto and the Naharkar family. There are many WhatsApp groups in Pandhrabodi slum. Due to the respect given to each other on them, many times swords are pulled. For example, as soon as a person gets greetings on birthday or wedding anniversary, his rival gets hurt. He starts threatening those who wish his rival. The number of criminals in Pandhrabodi is considerable. In addition to registering a complaint with the police, they come out with a weapon to decide on their own. Because of this, clashes happen every day. There are more than 10 big WhatsApp groups in Pandhrabodi slum. There are hundreds of youths involved in them. Many times they get angry with each other. This enmity becomes the reason for the crime. Ambazari police do not even get a clue of it, while in Pandhrabodi slum there is a police post. There is a gathering of criminals near this post.

Officer not aware of the truth

Since the assassination of Ashok Naharkar, there has been a possibility of a gang war in the premises. Naharkar''s relatives are telling the number of accused more than three. Similarly, the equation of the campus has changed since the murder. Criminals are also taking advantage of this. Pandhrabodi has a history of consecutive murders. Top officials are not aware of this truth. They have not even seen the streets of Pandhrabodi.
