Cops save nine cattle

Ganeshpeth cops rescued nine cattle and arrested two persons who were taking livestock to slaughter house. The cops made this rescue on early Monday morning.

The names of accused persons are Ajay Dhanraj Chaudhary (24, resident of Nagtarodi, Bhivapur) and Arvind Abhiman Shende (22, resident of Dighori, Bhivapur). They were carrying nine cattle in one Bolero vehicle to slaughter house. Ganeshpeth police station’s patrolling team comprising of ASI Yogesh Sanap, constable Prashant Gajbhiye, Abhay Khadse, Ranjit Katote, Rajesh Yadav, Rakesh Kolte and home guard Rathod saw this vehicle from a distance and became suspicious. They stopped the vehicle and inspected it.

Police found nine cattle with their legs tied. Cops immediately arrested accused Arvind Shende and Ajay Chaudhary and cattle were sent to shelter home. The alertness of cops saved lives of these cattle. An offence was lodged at Ganeshpeth police station against accused persons and their vehicle was also seized.
