Devram Tijore who was corporator in Nagpur Municipal Corporation for 10 years and chairman of the standing committee for 5 years. Tijore is now working as a watchman in Nagpur Reform Pranyas, where he once was the trustee. He is 72-year-old politician from Nagpur.
Devram Tijore was elected as a corporator by the Congress in 1985 and by the NCP in 2002. He was also the Chairman of the Standing Committee for 5 years. He was also a one-time trustee of Nagpur Reform Pranyas. Today, Devram Tijore has to work as a watchman to support his family.
Tijore's present situation is due to his honesty in politics and aimed only for serving the society. Even after many years in power, Devram did not earn anything for himself. He only served the people during his political tenure.
Today Devram Tijor lives in his 2 room house. This house has dilapidated furniture. He has a moped that doesn't work properly. He has also built a house by taking loan and due to lack of money.
Devram, who once worked with veteran leaders of Maharashtra like NCP president Sharad Pawar, Datta Meghe, Satish Chaturvedi and Shrikant Jichkar, is now a watchman. And Devram Tijore has no regrets about today's situation. He spent years of his life working for his party and the people of Nagpur.
