Digital 'Toycathon' inaugurated

Nagpur, June 24

G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur has been selected by MIC/AICTE for hosting Toycathon 2021 Grand Finale, an event conducted by Government of India to promote the indigenous toy industry. Around 13 teams from different parts of India have confirmed their participation. Total 13 teams having 61 participants from Nationwide are participating in the event.

The Toy Hackathon (Toycathon 2021) is being organised jointly by Ministry of Education in coordination with five other Ministries viz: Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, and Ministry of Textiles. Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell at All India Council for Technical Education is acting as nodal agency for organizing toycathon 2021. The event is being organized during 22-24th June 2021 via online mode.

The inaugural function at G H Raisoni College of Engineering was held via online mode) with preamble by Nodal center in-charge Dr. Dinesh Padole. Director Dr. Sachin Untawale narrated about GHRCE role in the innovation and achievements of the institute. The chief guest Dr. Pratap Sanap, Associate Principal Data Science at LTI had elaborated the need of Toycathone in the Nation and mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The institute inauguration was followed by the national Inauguration. Convenor of IIC Dr. Prema Daigavane presented vote of thanks. The team of Innovation appreciated the effort taken by all team members under guidance of Dr Sachin Untawale and all over support by RGI chairman Sunil Raisoni.
