HC rejects Bhole’s pre-arrest bail plea

The Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail of suspended PI Arvind Vinayak Bhole in the rape case and dismissed his petition.

Justice Rohit Deo passed the order on Friday. The Gittikhadan police has registered an FIR against Bhole under sections 376, 493, 419, 420, 323, 506 of the IPC and section 67 of the Information Technology Act.

Bhole had initially filed an application in the Sessions Court seeking pre-arrest bail in the case. He had moved the high court after his application was rejected in the Sessions Court, but High Court also rejected his bail application.

The plaintiff is a 45-year-old widow, and she has a son. Bhole married the widow and cheated her. He established physical relationship with her and also captured the act on mobile through video and photograph, the police complaint said. Adv Prakash Naidu represented the widow.
