Hotel director injured in scuffle between two groups

The main accused, Nikhil is a resident of Borgaon, Gittikhadan and partner in The Cafe Barrel. The other accused are Gaurav Singh (24) and Prem Jorankar (27) resident of Sant Dhayneshwar Society.

According to police Angad along with his friend Harsh Mehta (27), a resident of Nari Road and a female relative had come to Shankar Nagar for snacks on Sunday early morning at around 5.30 am.

The culprits Nikhil, Prem and Gaurav were standing their to eat poha before Angad and his friends arrived and they entered into an argument over the fact that who will take the poha first. According to the complaint filed by Angad and Harsh, Nikhil and his friends passed vulgar remarks on the girl, accompanying Angad and Harsh, which lead to further argument, which turned into a fight between Angad and Nikhil’s friends. Angad sustained injuries on face and nose. On the complaint filed by Harsh Mehta on Sunday afternoon at 2.30 pm, cases have been registered under various sections against the three accused and arrested them. They were remanded to police custody till February 17 and later sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

The relatives of Nikhil alleged that the scuffle started, as Angad and his friends wanted to eat poha first, to which Nikhil and his friends objected, as they were waiting for it before Angad and his friends arrived. The incident must have been captured in the CCTV of the area, but no action has been taken on Angad and his friends.

Complaint against both groups

The Ambazari station incharge Narendra Hiwre has noted the complaints of both the groups, but registered the case against Nikhil and his friends as Angad was seriously injured and registered an NC on the complaint of Nikhil and his friends.
