IIM Nagpur to launch 8 new PG certificate progs till Sept 2021

The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIMN), has been ranked 14th among all the IIMs in the country and has secured 40th rank in National Institute of Ranking Frame (NIRF), under the Ministry of Education. This is a good achievement to start with considering that IINM has just been into 6th year of its existence in the city.

IIMN will be starting eight new post graduate certificate programme across various disciplines by the end of September 2021 with the first programme ‘Data Science for Business Excellence and Innovation’, which is starting from Sunday, July 4.

Talking to Lokmat Times, IIMN director Dr Bhimraya Metri said, “Today the need of the hour is skilled managers who are job worthy and industry ready and are adept in delivering solutions to various problems faced by the industry in the current dynamic environment. There is a need for a blended mangers or leaders who are both academically sound and have hands on experience on the industry and current trends and not only theoretical knowledge.”

To bridge this gap IIMN has come up with these post graduate certificate programmes in Data Science for Business Excellence and Innovation, Business Management for IT Professionals, Financial Technologies (FinTech), Digital Marketing & Marketing Analytics, General Management

Senior Management Programme,

Strategic Management, Operations Management and Cyber Security and Data Analytics.

The best part of the courses offered by IIMN is that these are blended courses and the learning will happen online, off-line and with personal one-to-one consultation with the students, who can interact with the faculties and after the end of the programme, a Town Hall (first of its kind initiative) will be arranged with the faculties.

The curriculum and the courses have been designed after extensive research and talking to lot of industries and understanding their pain points. Both national and international experts will be teaching the aspirants during the hybrid blended programme, where in the aspirants will be attending the IIMN campus for a week during the programme duration, Dr Metri added.

“With more and more business’ moving on to online platform cyber security and data assumes more significance than ever today. We would be giving the students to deal with real life case studies and situations, which are threat to the industry with this course,” Dr Metri said. The Cyber Security and Data Analytics programme is an international joint certificate programme with FedEX Institute of Technology (FIT) under University of Memphis, Tennessee-USA.
