Man stabbed over old enmity

Nagpur, June 5

An youth stabbed a man in over an old dispute. Mohammad Sabir Ghulam Hussain (51) was seriously injured in the attack. The accused has been identified as Sameer Khan Samsher Khan (29) a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar.

According to a complaint lodged by Mohammad Siddiqui (20), resident of Dahibazar, Shantinagar, his father Sabir Ghulam went for a walk after dinner on Friday night. At around 10.30 pm, while he was chatting with Nasir Khan in front of Kayumbhai Ghodewala’s shop, accused Sameer Khan came with his friend. He started arguing with Sabir over an old issue and stabbed him, leaving him with serious injuries and fled the spot. After Sabir was admitted to the hospital, Siddiqui lodged a complaint at Lakdaganj police station. Police have filed a charge of attempted murder. Further investigation is underway.
