The effect of strict lockdown in the weekend was seen in city. Most of the private and government offices remained closed. All other services, except the essential services like grocery, vegetables, fruits, petrol pumps etc. remained closed.

Due to the announcement of the lockdown by the state government, the NMC and the police administration are strictly following the rules.

As per the order of the state government, strict lockdown started in Nagpur from 8 pm on Friday night, which will continue till 7 am on Monday. The shopkeepers of Itwari, Maskasath, Mominpura, Sitabuldi, Jaripatka carried out demonstrations against the lockdown.

After this, the police took out a route march and sent out a strong message to the traders that action will be taken against those who do not follow the rules.

Its effect was clearly visible on Saturday. Police barricaded important squares including Shahid Square of Itwari. Action was being taken against those who were found roaming without any valid reason.

There was silence even in Mahal and Sitabuldi. Shops will remain closed on Sunday as well. But there are a large number of road side shops who come for Sunday market, but police are well prepared to tackle the situation.

The administration and the police department has become active due to the rising Coviod menace. . The doors of the park also remained closed. Only home delivery from hotels and restaurants. Grocery services were restored in Males. But the number of customers was very less.

Between Monday and Friday, the crowds and vehicles in Nagpur were seen on the roads. Did not appear that much today. The crowd increased a little in the evening. But with the sunset, the roads started to look deserted.
