MSEDCL, which provides customer service through modern technology to power consumers, has recently introduced SAP-ERP in HR department.
Now the entire work of human resource department in all 225 offices, which has a workforce of around 54,000 has become online, fast, accurate and without human intervention. Before implementing the system, various rules and regulations of MSEDCL, working of human resource department, personal management, renewal, time management, pay-roll, higher pay benefits, training, examination, investigation, transfer, disciplinary action, confidential report, accident management, property management, processes were thoroughly understood.
Other functions including forensic cases, vigilance, labour and industrial relations were learned through various training as well as video conferencing. Implementation of SAP-ERP in MSEDCL human resources has started with the completion of May salaries of all MSEDCL employees. Employees will receive their claims on time as every action in SAP ERP is automated.
There is no human intervention in the system. Therefore, all MSEDCL employees will now be able to avail services like salary, allowances and other ancillary benefits through SAP-ERP system.
