Questions copied from internet surface in university online exam

Many teachers copied questions from internet for online exams of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University and kept them in question papers without any change. Interestingly the teachers moderating question papers could not came to know about this. The students applied copy and paste pattern of teachers while solving question papers.

According to information received by Lokmat Times, the students are solving question papers with the help of internet from day one of online exam. The question papers of university’s streams other than commerce and arts, are in English, Marathi and Hindi languages. The original question papers in English language are translated in such a way in Hindi and Marathi languages that students are facing lot of difficulties in understanding them. They are taking help of internet in understanding meaning of question in English language. Some students tried to search answers of questions on internet apart from understanding them. This revealed that the questions in question papers came from internet. Some teachers did not make any change in questions at all and just copied them from internet. To prove their claim, some students sent questions and told the names of websites from where questions were taken.

To confirm claims of students, director of exam and evaluation Dr Prafulla Sable said that he cannot comment on drafting of question papers by teachers. He said that he had no idea about how question papers were set.

No figure about students who copied

The university exam department had claimed that the exam app has been made in such a way that any student who attempts copy can be caught. Such system has been placed in application. When number of students caught while copying in university exam, Dr Sable said that he had no such information.
