Vaccination at 244 centers from today

As per the guidelines of the Central government, all citizens aged 45 years and above will be vaccinated against corona from April 1. Vaccination facility will be available at 244 centers including private and government hospitals. This includes 81 centers in Nagpur city and 163 centers in rural areas. The district administration and the NMC are ready for this. The number of centers needs to be increased to vaccinate six lakh citizens and the administration will follow up with the Central government for the same.

In Nagpur, 2,18,528 people have been vaccinated so far. Of these, 37,443 health workers, 25,087 front line workers, 1,02,555 citizens above 60 years of age and 32,195 people suffering from various diseases have been vaccinated. Now, from April 1, the vaccination campaign aims to vaccinate 6.5 lakh people. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and NMC commissioner Radhakrishnan B have appealed to the citizens to get vaccinated against corona.

Online registration facility

Citizens above 45 years can register online for vaccination through their Aadhaar card or PAN card, voter ID card, passport, driving license. Citizens will have to register on NMC website for registration.

Additional municipal commissioner Ram Joshi has appealed to those who are facing any difficulty in online registration to register from the NMC Zone office.

Second dose for citizens above 60 years

During vaccination, health workers, front line workers, citizens suffering from various ailments as well as citizens above 60 years of age will be given priority for the second dose. Preference will also be given to citizens who register online. Private hospitals will have to charge rates fixed by the government. The vaccine will be provided free of cost at government hospitals. This facility is available in 46 private and 40 government hospitals, informed medical health officer Sanjay Chilkar.

Two new vaccination centers

Two new vaccination centers are being set up at Primary Health Center near Shahu Garden, Manewada, and near Sanjay Nagar, NMC Hindi School, Dipti Singal, Primary Health Center.

Vaccination in two shifts

For the convenience of the citizens, vaccination has been arranged in two shifts in government and municipal hospitals. These include Babulban Primary Health Center, KT Nagar Primary Health Center, Indira Gandhi Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Isolation Hospital, Pachpaoli Maternity Hospital, Government Medical College and Hospital, AIIMS, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital and late. Late Prabhakarrao Datke Diagnosis Center, Mahal.

Vaccination will be carried out at these centers from 8 am to 10 pm. He appealed to the representatives of NGOs to help the health department, corporation and government teams at government vaccination centers and also to take the responsibility of the center.
