Youth’s throat slit due to nylon manja

A youth riding a two-wheeler got seriously injured due to nylon manja. His throat was slit.

The incident took place on Panchpoli road at around 1 pm on Saturday. He was rushed to a private hospital, where he received the treatment.

According to information, a resident of Faruk Nagar, Teka, Sohail Ansari (28) was going towards Mominpura from Teka. He encountered nylon manja near Sindhu college which he tried to dodge, but it got stuck in another two-wheeler making a deep cut in Sohail’s neck and injuring him seriously.

In the meantime, someone who knew Sohail was passing by and he immediately stopped and took him to a private hospital at Kamal Chowk with the help of passers by. When his family members reached the hospital, they informed that the cut is very deep and the condition is serious.

There is ban on nylon manja, but still people are just not bothered and continue to use nylon manja. On the other hand the administration is also very lackadaisical about it. An young engineer also lost his life a few days back due to nylon manja, but people are shamelessly using it.
