BJP office in Asansol set on fire, party blames TMC

A Bharatiya Janta Party office was set on fire in West Bengal late on Sunday. The incident was reported from Salanpur village in Asansol. The BJP has alleged the role of Trinamool Congress for the attack in its office. BJP leader Gopal Roy said that TMC goons have set party office on fire becase they are worried about the growing influence of the BJP in the area. However, TMC leader Hareram Tiwari denied these allegations.

Tiwari stated that the incident is the result of the conflict within the party (BJP). Tiwari claimed that BJP leaders do all illegal activities including alcohol consumption inside the party office. The BJP office said that police reached the spot late despite being informed soon after the party office caught fire. The matter is currently under investigation. The party even accused TMC goon of attacking BJP office earlier too, in a similar way.
