The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved biotechnology company Panacea Biotec to manufacture Russian 'Sputnik-V' vaccine in India. Panacea will be the first company to manufacture the Sputnik-V vaccine in India. Russia has signed agreements with six companies for the corona vaccine. It also includes Panacea Biotec Company.

It is very important to get a license to manufacture Sputnik-V vaccine in India. The process is in its final stages and the vaccine will soon be manufactured in India.
This will make available a large stock of Sputnik-V vaccine. This could give impetus to India's vaccination campaign.

Russia's Sputnik-V anti-corona vaccine is 91.6 percent effective. The first shipment of the Sputnik-V vaccine from Panacea Biotec was sent to the Gamaleya center in Russia. There the quality of the vaccine was tested. The company has received the green light and has proved successful in all tests.
