Delhi government hospital sealed as doctor tests positive for COVID-19

A Delhi based government hospital has been sealed after a doctor tested positive for coronavirus. The doctor worked at the Delhi State Cancer Institute. The hospital building's OPD, offices and labs have been shut and are being sanitized, say officials. Those who came in contact with the doctor are also being quarantined.

"It is suspected that the doctor caught the infection from her brother and sister-in-law who had just returned from the UK. She had visited their house recently," said Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain. Across India, the number of coronavirus cases has climbed to 1,397 after 146 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours. According to the health ministry, 35 people have died.
