Delhi Unlock: Stadiums to re-open, here's what's allowed and what's not from tomorrow

In a fresh set of guidelines,  the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government on Sunday allowed stadium and sports complexes to open without spectators from July 5. . The order, issued by the Department Of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), also said that cinema halls, multiplexes, banquet halls and swimming pools will continue to remain shut in the national capital. The new relaxations will come into effect from 5am on Monday and the prohibited and restricted activities are extended till 5am of July 12.

Social and political gatherings, auditoriums, schools, colleges, spas, amusement parks are also prohibited throughout the National Capital Region (NCR), according to DDMA order.  Last week, the DDMA had allowed the reopening of gyms and yoga institutes with 50 per cent attendance. Banquets, marriage halls and hotels were also allowed to host weddings with an attendance of 50 guests only. Restaurants up to 50 per cent capacity and markets have already been allowed to open. With activities resuming, the Delhi district authorities have deployed more enforcement teams and issued an increased number of challans for violation of Covid appropriate behaviour.

 

Here's what's allowed

In government offices, 100 per cent of Grade I staff have been allowed. Only 50 per cent staff is allowed in private offices, which are to remain open between 9 am and 5 pm.

All stand-alone shops, neighbourhood shops, residential complex shops can open on all days without odd-even rule. However, the opening hours for shops dealing with non-essential goods/services will be from 10 am to 8 pm.

All markets, market complexes and malls will remain open from 10 am to 8 pm.

Restaurants can open from 8 am to 10 pm with 50 per cent occupancy, while bars are allowed to open from noon to 10 pm with 50 per cent cap on seating.

Marriage halls, banquet halls and hotels will be allowed to hold wedding ceremonies with a maximum of 50 people. However, marriage ceremonies will still be allowed with a maximum of 20 people at home and in the court as before.

Gyms and Yoga institutes can operate at 50 per cent capacity.

No more than 20 people can attend the funeral.

Delhi Metro will run at 50 per cent capacity.

DTC and cluster buses can operate at maximum 50 per cent seating capacity.

 

Here's what's not allowed

Schools, colleges, coaching institutes.

Spas.

Swimming pools.

Gatherings for social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, religious and cultural activities.

Movie halls, theatres, multiplexes.

Amusement parks, water parks etc.

Auditoriums, assembly halls.

Business to business exhibitions.
