Famous names who violated coronavirus lockdown rules

DHFL promoters Kapil Wadhawan and Dheeraj Wadhawan were  been booked for flouting the ongoing nationwide lockdown and travelling to Mahabaleshwar with a group of 20 people.An IPS officer, who issued them pass to travel to Mahabaleshwar from Mumbai with other family members and domestic helps, has been suspended for letting this happen. The bureaucrat had issued a letter exempting the Wadhawans from the lockdown norms citing a family emergency.Sources said that despite a lockdown, the family managed to reach the town over 250 km from Mumbai in five cars on Wednesday night. 

Rishi Dhawan 

Rishi Dhawan, the India allrounder wasfined Rs 500 for roaming on the streets of Mandi Himachal Pradesh in his car during a three-hour curfew relaxation between 10 AM and 1 PM in the city. He has played three ODIs, scoring 12 runs and picking up one wicket. He has also played a lone T20I. In the IPL he has represented Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians. Dhawan had contributed with a donation of Rs 1 lakh towards the HP COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund through Mandi DC on March 30.

Katie Hopkins 

English media personality Katie Hopkins was caught violating lockdown rules after she visited a garden centre.The media personality went shopping last week at Plants Galore in Exeter. Despite guidelines and nationwide closures, the garden centre remained open. The former businesswoman received backlash from the public for her irresponsible actions. Katie was warned by police for breaking the lockdown rules.

Shahid Kapoor

Actor Shahid Kapoor has landed in trouble after the actor was spotted working out at a gym in Bandra. Shahid was seen doing an intensive workout in the VIP section. The gym was shut all day but opened for the couple at around 5.30 PM and on spotting paparazzi around, they chose to leave from a different exit door. Shahid and gym owner Yudhishthir Jaising were reprimanded for violating a health advisory issued by the state government that posed a risk to public safety. 

David Clark

New Zealand’s health minister David Clark landed in trouble for breaking the country’s strict coronavirus lockdown rules by taking his family to the beach and even branded himself an “idiot” for the breach. Clark admitted driving his family to Doctor’s Point Beach, about 12.5 miles from his home in Dunedin at least the second time he broke the quarantine rules, having earlier been caught mountain biking. David was later demoted from his position for breaking the lockdown rules.
